Rain in Hyderabad

After the heavy downpour on Gandhi Jayanti, the city of Nizams had come to a standstill. The rain intensity was so much that waterlogging was seen across the city. Cars and bikes were floating on the roads and the lightning strikes had even claimed lives as per media reports.

However, rain over Hyderabad has once again reduced. In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Tuesday, Hyderabad only recorded 1 mm of rain. As per Skymet Weather, a trough is extending across Telangana, which is originating from a Cyclonic Circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal.

Due to this weather system, we expect on and off rains to continue over parts of Telangana including Hyderabad. The rain intensity may not be heavy however few moderate intensity showers are expected to occur over the region throughout the next week.

The maximum temperatures will settle around 29-31°C. The weather will be comfortable and morning and nights will be pleasant. The Southwest Monsoon has finally ended and the state of Telangana closed with a rain deficiency of 13 percent. However the post Monsoon season has started with a bang for Telangana and as on October 3, the state is largely excess by 76 percent rains.
