The city of Hyderabad has remained dry since the month of September began. So much so that the capital city if Telangana did not witness even a single drop since the beginning of the month.

As far as the month of August is concerned, that was a good month for the city of Nizams. While rains had remained on the lighter side, one very heavy spell of rains had given the residents way too much than what was expected. In fact, on August 25, Hyderabad recorded three-digit rainfall to the tune of a whopping 114 mm. Since then, rains have remained on the lighter side.

However, it seems like rain gods decided to save the residents from some dry trouble as very light rains were witnessed over the city of Hyderabad. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Hyderabad witnessed 0.8 mm of rainfall.

These rainfall activities were attributed to the presence of a trough which is running from the Rayalaseema region up to the Gulf of Mannar. Due to this trough, cloud development took place over Hyderabad and its adjoining areas resulting in rains.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, light rainfall activity is expected over the city of Hyderabad during the next 24 to 48 hours.
