Weather conditions of the state of Telangana as well as most parts of Andhra Pradesh are almost dry since the last few days. Although Southwest monsoon has not yet withdrawn from the states. The dry Northwesterly winds are a reason for the resulting in dry weather conditions of Telangana as well as North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

However, parts of Rayalaseema and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh have been receiving scattered light to moderate rains since last two to three days. In the last 24 hours, Anantapur received 0.5 mm of rain, Nellore received 11.8 mm, Ongole 2.3 mm while Tirupati recorded 2.3 mm of rain.

The reason for these ongoing rains can be attributed to the Cyclonic Circulation persisting over Southwest Bay of Bengal which is bringing humid winds from Bay of Bengal, thus increasing moisture which is responsible for these rains.

We expect isolated light rains over parts of Telangana during the next two days. Parts of Hyderabad may also receive one or two short spells of rain; however, heavy showers are ruled out over Telangana for the next few days. It is expected that rains will also decrease over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh but might continue over Rayalaseema and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
