The dry weather of Telangana is now expected to take a backseat with the possibility of rain and thundershowers paving their way towards the state.

From last many days, Telangana has been observing the mercury soaring and settling above the 30°C mark. But now weather conditions are conducive for the rainy spells to show up over the parts of the state including Hyderabad.

As per Skymet Weather, a trough is seen extending from Vidarbha up to Tamil Nadu across Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka, and Telangana. In the wake of this weather system, parts of Telangana including Hyderabad are likely to witness the first pre-Monsoon showers.

Skymet Weather reiterates that this summers, these weather situations have arrived pretty early but the chances of this weather activity to continue is not very bright as the summers are likely to hit hard due to lack of any weather system bringing in rains in the near future.

Though for the next two to three days, Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana can brace for light rains. Till date, the capital of the state has remained parched as against the monthly rainfall average of 17.8 mm.

Along with these short-lived rainy spells, strong gusty winds along with thundershowers are also predicted. Parts of Telangana may also witness some hailstorm activities.

However, by March 17, the weather of both these states are once again likely to become dry. The pre-Monsoon showers generally show up during late afternoon or evening hours, these short rainy and thundery spells will not give much-needed relief from the ongoing warm weather and mounting temperatures. And by that time, the temperatures have already peaked.
