The state of Telangana has witnessed good rainfall activity yesterday with heavy showers observed over many parts of the state. So much so that in the last 24 hours, Dindigul recorded 28 mm of rains, and Hyderabad recording 63 mm of rains.
The city received record rainfall in 24 hours of time for the month of May. The last time the city recorded such heavy rains during this month, was in 2017 to the tune of 60 mm. Moreover, these rains are record rainfall in a decade for the city of Hyderabad.
We can expect some more rains to continue as the wind discontinuity running across South Peninsula will persist. The embedded circulations in the trough will continue to give rains.
Today, more of southern parts will see some rainfall activities.
