The intensity of rain is anticipated to increase over the state of Telangana for the next 48 hours. This could be attributed to a low pressure area marked over Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha Coast. This weather system is likely to intensify and will continue to move in a west direction.

As per Skymet Weather, many parts of Telangana including Hyderabad can receive moderate showers with one or two heavy spells. By July 19, this weather system will move further west and thus the intensity of rain will start reducing over the region.
During the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Sunday, light showers occurred over the City of Nizams to the tune of 6 mm. The maximum temperature recorded in a span of 24 hours over the Biryani city was 29°C, while the minimum was 22°C.

As of now, rain and thundershowers will continue over the state and its capital city and with it pleasant weather conditions will persist.
Although on and off rains were observed over Hyderabad since last many days but the intensity remained on the lower end. It was only on one occasion, July 7 that the city recorded good showers of 23 mm. Thereafter, not even for one day the city recorded rainfall of mere 10 mm.
