In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Wednesday, the city of pearls has recorded rains to the tune of 15 mm. As per Skymet Weather, the reason behind these rains can be given to a cyclonic circulation which is seen over west central Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh Coast and adjoining South Odisha. Along with this, a trough is running from this system up to North Kerala across Rayalaseema and South Karnataka.
As per weathermen, moist winds from Bay of Bengal have been reaching to the city.
Further, this circulation is likely to shift gradually towards the east. Therefore, rains and thundershowers will continue over the region for another 2 to 3 days, which will increase the humidity levels and marginal drop in day temperatures.
