The city of Hyderabad has seen scorching summer heat making its way and wreaking havoc. The Biryani City was seeing weather conditions getting worse each day. In fact, a day before, Hyderabad recorded a whopping 40.1 degrees Celsius which was the highest of the season. Before this also, temperatures were settling well above the normal levels, close to the 40-degree mark.

However, it seems like the rain gods finally answered to the prayers of the Hyderabadis. Thus, after witnessing sweltering conditions during the month of March, rains finally made an appearance over the city of Hyderabad.

During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Hyderabad saw 0.1 mm of rains. While these rains were of very light intensity, persisting clouding over the capital city of Hyderabad yesterday caused the mercury levels to drop to quite an extent. Yesterday’s maximum was three notches lesser than the previous day and settled at 37.7 degrees Celsius.

These rainfall activities were attributed to the presence of a cyclonic circulation over Telangana and adjoining areas. Along with this, a trough is also extending across the states resulting in some rains over the city.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, the City of Nizams is expected to continue seeing light Pre Monsoon rains for at least another 24 hours which will occur during the late afternoon hours only.
