The city of Hyderabad has been witnessing dry weather conditions for the past one week. Before that, the region has been observing on and off rainfall activities since the beginning of the month of April. During the time of the rainfall activity, temperatures had remained in the mid-thirties resulting in some relief for the Hyderabadis.

However, as rains went away, the region has once again begun to witness temperatures in the higher 30 degrees. In fact, yesterday the maximum temperature in Hyderabad settle at 38 degrees Celsius.

However, now good news once again awaits the residents of the Biryani City. Rain gods are expected to make an appearance over the region again. Thus, short spell of rain and thunder showers are expected over Hyderabad and its adjoining areas of Telangana.

Currently, an anti-cyclone can be seen over West Central Bay of Bengal. An upper air trough is also running from Marathwada up to Comorin region. An embedded cyclonic circulation is also over South Madhya Maharashtra. Due to this, a confluence zone has formed over the region which will give rainfall activities over Hyderabad.

Thus, the city is expected to receive rain and thundershowers for the next 24 to 36 hours resulting in some drop in the temperatures over the city.
