Since the last couple of days, several parts of Telangana have been witnessing active Southwest Monsoon conditions. Likewise, the state capital, Hyderabad has also been recording light rains with one or two spells of moderate showers, lately. Also, the weather conditions over Telangana and its capital city have remained comfortable for quite a long time now.
So, in a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, the state capital, Hyderabad recorded 5.2 mm of rainfall, followed by Hanamkonda and Khammam at 7 mm, Nizamabad 6.2 mm, Nalgonda and Bhadrachalam 3 mm and Ramagundam 1.2 mm.
These weather conditions can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is seen over coastal parts of Odisha. Further, this weather system is likely to move gradually towards Chhattisgarh region.
Therefore, light to moderate Monsoon showers with one or two spells of heavy rain may continue to occur in many parts of Telangana during the next 24 to 48 hours. In particular, northern districts of Telangana will settle with good Monsoon rains and thundershower during the similar time period.

In the meantime, cities such as Medak, Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Khammam and Ramagundam will continue to witness good Monsoon rains.

These on and off good rains will continue to keep the weather conditions comfortable over the entire state as well as over Hyderabad until September 20. Thereafter, the intensity of these good showers is likely to reduce significantly.
Henceforth, the day temperatures will rise and the humidity will once again come into play. Although scattered light Monsoon showers will continue to make a show over the entire state.
