Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have been witnessing on and off Monsoon rains. The coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh have witnessed better rains comparatively. In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Friday Telangana including Hyderabad did not record any rains.

In the same span of time, only Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh witnessed light intensity rain to the tune of 2.6 mm. As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is expected to develop over Southwest Bay. At present, a trough is extending from Southeast Bay to North of Tamil Nadu.
Mainly south-south westerly and south westerly winds are prevailing over the states. These winds are warm and moist in nature. Thus it is anticipated that thundershower and rain activities will occur over the region. Mainly south coastal Andhra Pradesh would receive rain and thundershower activities with gusty winds towards late afternoon evening.

Places such as Krishna, Anantapur, Kurnool, Tirupati, and Nellore will witness Monsoon rains. Rayalaseema area would experience scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers. Scattered light rain and thundershowers are also expected over Telangana including Hyderabad. Meanwhile, the northern parts of Telangana will not witness much rainfall activities. Weather will remain mainly humid however morning and nights will be comfortable.
