The city of Hyderabad has been witnessing almost dry weather conditions for quite some time now. In fact, the Biryani city has only been recording traces of rain in the past four days. Before that, an episode of dry weather did persist between July 22 and July 27.
The past 24 hours were also not very different and the city of Nizams did record very light rains. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, Hyderabad recorded traces of rain. However, weather continues to remain warm and humid.

Now, the axis of the Monsoon trough has shifted over Indo Gangetic Plains and no weather system has been persisting over Telangana and adjoining areas. Thus, now we can expect a prolonged dry spell to take over the city of Hyderabad. Temperatures will witness an increase further and discomfort level will creep in.

Now, the next spell of rain is expected around August 7 or 8. During that time as well, rains will remain light only as far as the intensity is concerned.
As far as the performance of Hyderabad rains in July is concerned, Hyderabad has so far recorded 166.1 mm of rainfall against its monthly mean of 179.2 mm. Thus, the city of Nizams failed to even surpass its monthly mean.
