As per Skymet Weather, light to moderate rains are likely to continue over Hyderabad and parts of the state till today night, thereafter the intensity of rains will reduce significantly. Depression is moving in west direction and as the system moves away from the region, the rain belt is also likely to shift towards Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh.

By July 21, weather may become dry again as rain activity over the area will reduce. Chances of rain are less but localized isolated rains cannot be ruled out. After these hefty rains, the city is likely to surpass its monthly average rainfall also.

So far, the city has recorded 154.8 mm of rains as compared to the normal average rains of 179.2 mm of rain. With more rains in offing, we expect city to surpass its monthly mean very soon.

Day temperatures are also settling below normal but mercury may rise after a day or two. In this season, Southwest Monsoon has remained active over Telangana including Hyderabad. As on July 18, Hyderabad is rain surplus by 32%.
