At present, hot and humid weather is prevailing over the City of Nawabs from last 3-4 days. In fact, throughout the month of May, apart from a few intermittent showers, Hyderabad remained mostly dry.
According to Skymet Weather, the Telangana city is likely to receive light rain and thundershowers during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, this weather activity is anticipated to intensify. However, warm and humid conditions will continue to woe the Hyderabadis.
These weather conditions can be attributed to the moist southwesterly winds that are strengthening formation of thunderclouds. Thus, pre-monsoon showers are expected over the area for the next couple of days.

The weather conditions appears to be favorable for the further advancement of Monsoon into more parts of South India, thus rains will once again pick up the pace over Telangana including Hyderabad. The arrival of Monsoon over the state is predicted to be between June 5 and June 10.
