Telangana including the city of Nizams Hyderabad has been receiving on and off pre-Monsoon rain and thundershower activities since the beginning of May. However, the weather of Hyderabad has been dry since last 5 days. Day temperatures are also very high and mostly above 40°C.

Yesterday, the maximum temperatures recorded over the state of Telangana were as follows – Hanamkonda 39.0°C, Adilabad 41.5°C, Ramagundam 39.2°C, Nizamabad 33.4°C, Medak 39.3°C, Hyderabad 37.7°C.
However, due to the north-south trough which is persisting in the vicinity of Telangana, on and off isolated light rain activities are still going on over the state. The trough sometimes passes through Telangana and sometimes it sips over Vidarbha. In either position it effects the weather conditions over Telangana.
Further, we expect few good spells of rain and thundershowers over the norther districts of the state such as Adilabad, Nizamabad and Medak.
The capital city, Hyderabad may also receive short spells of rain, but we do not expect any heavy showers. However, patchy rains may occur during early morning or late afternoon/evening hours.
Day temperatures are expected to remain high and will not have much impact due to these short duration rain activities. Therefore, we can say that no relief is expected from the ongoing hot weather conditions.
