How will Cyclone Maha impact the weather of Mumbai if it re-curves towards Gujarat?

Isolated light rains were recorded in Mumbai during the last 24 hours. The weather was warm during the day followed by a pleasant night.

According to Skymet Weather, the Severe Cyclonic Storm Maha lies over parts of the East Central Arabian Sea and adjoining region. This system would be moving west/northwestwards during the next 24 to 36 hours and thereafter would re-curve towards South Gujarat and North Maharashtra Coast in the east/northeasterly direction.

In the wake of this movement, Mumbai may witness isolated short spells of light rain during the next 48 hours. The day would be mainly warm followed by a pleasant and comfortable night.

The day temperatures would settle between 29 and 31 degree Celcius, while night temperatures around 24 degree Celcius.

Further, the Cyclone Maha would come closer to the north of Mumbai around November 5 because of which the rainfall intensity would increase in the city. And on November 6 and 7, we can expect moderate rains to return to the city. During this period, moderate winds would blow and sea conditions would also be rough.

Mumbai Rains usually take a backseat in the month of October itself with almost no sight of them in November. However, this year, the scenario has been different as back to back Cyclones are keeping the rains going in the dream city.
