According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, resumption of northwesterly winds and their reach up to Central India and some parts of south India pulled down the maximum temperatures at many places on Tuesday. Also, the winds discontinuity extending from Odisha to Kerala across Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karantaka also helped in arresting the temperature rise.
