Just when people in parts of Haryana and Punjab started to enjoy the sudden rain over the weekend and were looking forward to pleasant weather starting Monday onwards, weather gods decided to take a U-turn. The day and night temperatures, which observed a significant drop due to the weather systems prevailing over plains of North India and parts of Maharashtra, are now expected to crawl back to normal, giving way to hotter days once again.
For next three day, the weather is expected to remain dry over most parts of Haryana, Punjab and Delhi-NCR and temperatures are likely to increase gradually due to sunny weather conditions.
However, another western disturbance is expected over hilly states of India on the 16th that will affect Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and foothills only.
Below Normal Temperatures at the moment
Currently, day temperatures in several parts of plains of North India are below normal by 8-10°C. In Haryana, for instance, the maximum temperature in Narnaul on 12th April settled at 25.5°C that was 11 degrees below normal and in Hisar it was 28.5°C, 8 degrees below normal.
The situation was similar in Punjab, where the maximum temperature in Chandigarh was below normal by 7 degrees and settled at 27.8°C and it was 5 degrees below normal in Ludhiana and settled at 29°C.
