Hot Day For Noida-Ghaziabad Tomorrow On Poll Day, Delhi May Touch 40 Degrees, Shower In The Evening

Gautam Budhnagar and Ghaziabad will go to polls tomorrow, along with six other constituencies of West Uttar Pradesh. Noida/ Greater Noida will witness a hot day with temperatures in the high 30’s, nearing 40°C. Safdarjung, the record observatory for Delhi may register a high of 40°C, for the first time this season. The observatory has so far recorded the highest of 39.4°C on 19th April 2024. Noida and Ghaziabad recorded a maximum of 38°C and 36.6°C, yesterday. The temperature across Delhi/NCR is likely to rise today by about a degree and more of it tomorrow, before the pre-monsoon showers lash the capital city and both the constituencies, sometime in the evening and night, after the polling hours.

A western disturbance will arrive over Jammu & Kashmir tomorrow. There is a cyclonic circulation over parts of central Pakistan and adjoining border areas of Rajasthan. This feature will move eastward and come closer to the North Rajasthan and Punjab regions. A trough line will extend from the system, passing in close proximity to Delhi. A clear day tomorrow will accumulate a lot of heat and trigger this trough in the evening and night hours.  After a hot day over Delhi/ NCR tomorrow, relief showers are expected in the evening and night. The weather activity will continue, intermittently at night and the remnant effect may even last till the next morning, on 27th April.

Voters may have to brace the hot sun, throughout the poll duration. Partial cloud cover is likely to come up in the evening. Lightening and thunderstorms are expected in the late evening and night. Gusty and dusty winds may precede the thundershower activity. Light rain may continue in the early morning hours, before winding up in the forenoon hours. Pleasant conditions will prevail tomorrow night, with a slight nip in the air on 27th April morning. However, the heat is going to catch up once again, during the day with temperature again scaling, close to 40°C in the subsequent 48 hours.
