Delhi rains displayed a power packed performance during the first few days of July. In fact, since the first day itself the national capital has been witnessing good rains.
While Southwest monsoon made a late arrival over the city, good rains throughout the previous week gave Delhiites that much needed relief from humid weather conditions. So much so that since about June 29th, Delhi has been receiving light to moderate rains.
However, now it seems like rain Gods have once again turned their backs against Delhi. So much so that the city has remained dry for the past 48 hours. With this, temperatures which were running below the normal levels have once again begun to spike.
In fact, the maximums which were hovering around 32 degrees a few weeks ago have once again risen and are now crawling towards the 40 degree mark.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, this weather condition is expected to persist for another 24 to 48 hours. No rainfall activity is likely during this period and the city will only witness an increase in the maximum in the coming days.
Thus, Delhi should brace for more hot and humid weather in the coming 2 days as rain will remain far away from the city.
