Weather in Northwest India will now remain dry throughout the remaining days of May. Now, no Pre-Monsoon activity is expected over the states of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and western parts of Uttar Pradesh.
The intensity and frequency of Western Disturbances will also reduce to quite an extent. However, on odd Disturbances may make an appearance Western Himalayas but due to them being feeble in nature, the plains of North India will not be affected.
Hot and dry winds from west and northwest will continue over entire Northwest India. These winds will be blowing from central parts of Pakistan and Rajasthan where temperatures are already settling on the higher side.
Therefore, temperatures will see an increase over all the northern parts of the country in the plains including Delhi and the NCR region. Meanwhile, heat wave like conditions will occur over many parts of Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West and Southwest Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, heat wave conditions may be seen in a few areas of Delhi NCR, Haryana, North Rajasthan during the end of May and around June 1. Thus, Northwest India should brace up for hot and dry weather conditions for at least a week or so.
