Pleasant weather and clear skies in popular hill stations of North India seem to be beckoning one and all for a short trip in the coming days.

After the heavy spell of rain and snowfall in entire Himachal Pradesh and parts of Uttarakhand during the gone by weekend, temperatures have risen in the hilly states. Pleasant weather conditions are likely to prevail at least for next 4 days.

Here’s a look at the temperatures in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, recorded on December 6.

Even Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing comfortable weather with day temperatures above normal average. Maximums could even reach 20 degrees in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand while, Jammu and Kashmir could touch 15°C. Minimums will remain above normal in all the three hilly states.

Thus, we can conclude that the hilly states will be even warmer than the plains for the next few days. On Monday, day temperatures in Amritsar was at 11°C, Pathankot 10.8°C, Kapurthala12.1°C and Ferozepore 10.7°C. Other places in Punjab and Haryana are also maintaining maximums around 11 degrees.

Another Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir but will affect weather only in the glaciers. With rarefied atmosphere in the hills, radiations are relatively more active. Therefore, temperatures generally rise faster on account of clear skies.
