Many parts of Andhra Pradesh have been witnessing very warm and dry weather conditions. So much so, that temperatures are observed settling above the normal levels. Temperatures in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining parts of Rayalaseema are presently hovering around higher 30s.
Areas like Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, Bapatla, Ongole, Qawwali and Tirupati have recorded maximum temperatures between 38 to 39°C. Meanwhile, Nellore has reported a high of 40°C, while Anantapur observed a maximum of 37°C.
As per Skymet Weather, day temperature in these districts is ranging 4 to 6 degrees above normal. Being located on the coast, these areas witnesses high humidity levels. Due to high humidity and temperatures, uneasiness level increases significantly during afternoon hours. So much so that it reaches to distress level for the locals.
In wake of this weather condition, chances of heat stroke or sun stroke cannot be ruled out. In fact, if people are not adequately hydrated, they are more prone to fatality.
As the month progresses, we can expect temperatures to cross 40-degree mark at many places of the state. In consequence, people are advised to take proper precautions. So make sure that the body parts should not be too exposed to harsh rays of sun. Also, it is advisable to maintain the balance of water in your body as being hydrated will reduce the chances of fainting.
