Extremely Severe Cyclone Fani, that was making a breaking news since the last few days, has finally made a landfall at Puri, Odisha at 8:40 am on Friday.
Soon after realising the devastating nature of this storm, the entire East Coast was put on high alert, with back to back warnings regarding evacuation of major prone areas. Presently, major areas such as Bhubaneswar, Ganjam, Puri and Paradip in Odisha are experiencing extremely heavy rains with wind speed 180-190 kmph, gusting up to 200 kmph.
The frightening sound of ferocious winds is being heard, sweeping, uprooting and dislocating every piece of thing coming its way. Not only this, one person has been reported dead due to uprooting of trees in Sakhigopal, Puri.
