Hefty rainfall in Hoshangabad made the weather pleasant

Madhya Pradesh has been almost a dry state in the month of June. However, things are pretty positive for the state now. Many pockets of the region have witnessed fair amounts of rainfall for the past few days.

During last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Saturday, Hoshangabad has witnessed very heavy showers of 62 mm. The district has been experiencing light to moderate rainy spells for the last 3 days. Hoshangabad observed 1 mm rainfall on June 17 and very light spell of 0.6 mm on June 18.

Other districts of the state that has observed light to moderate rainfall during last 24 hours as on Saturday include the following:

A cyclonic circulation that was prevailing over Vidarbha and adjoining Madhya Pradesh region has slightly moved towards the West and northwest direction towards Central Madhya Pradesh. Due to a cyclonic circulation in Vidharbha, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh, the rain belt has also shifted towards West amounting to fairly widespread light to moderate rains over central parts of the state.

As per Skymet Weather, good showers are expected at many parts over Madhya Pradesh. Heavy showers are also likely over South and southwest parts of the state. However, Monsoon is likely to hit the region shortly.
