Cyclonic circulation from Bay of Bengal had moved inland over West Bengal and Odisha. This feature is now marked over North Chhattisgarh and neighboring  East Madhya Pradesh. This circulation will be moving further northwest over  North Madhya Pradesh and  Northeast Rajasthan. The remnant of earlier cyclonic circulation over Uttar Pradesh has merged with this system. Now, this feature is embedded  in the monsoon trough which is lying south of its normal position and running across states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Under the influence of this circulation, active monsoon conditions  are likely over Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh in the  next 24 hours.  Tomorrow, the weather system will reach  North Madhya Pradesh and  adjoining  Northeast Rajasthan.  Western disturbance arriving tomorrow over the mountains will accentuate this system. Coupled influence of these two systems will last for about 48 hours.

Fairly widespread rain and thundershowers are likely over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh  today.  Intense weather activity will shift to cover parts of North and Southwest Madhya Pradesh and eastern parts of Rajasthan  tomorrow.  Oscillation of the monsoon trough  under the influence of this weather system will  trigger heavy weather over Delhi and northern half of Haryana and Punjab on 08th and 09thJuly.  Subsequently, the rainfall activity will retract from most parts of North India and shift towards Uttar Pradesh. Accordingly, 10th and 11thJuly could be lean weather activity days for  Punjab and Haryana.
