Many parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir have been receiving moderate to heavy snowfall. Rain activities have commenced over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
Hills of Western Himalayas may receive intense weather activities in terms of rain and snow until February 4th. Indo Gangetic Plains from Punjab to West Bengal to receive light to moderate rain with few heavy spells and isolated hailstorm activities.
Rain will start receding from Western parts of Punjab Haryana and Northwest Rajasthan from afternoon of February 4th. However Central and Eastern districts of Uttar Pradesh along with Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and North Odisha will receive rain and thunder showers until February 4th. Weather will clear up from entire Indo Gangetic Plains by afternoon of February 5th.
Wind direction change from easterly to northwesterly or northerly over northwest India from February 5th. Minimum temperatures of Punjab, Haryana, most parts of Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat and parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai may drop by 2 to 4 degree Celsius between February 5 and 6.
