Thus owing to this, weathermen at Skymet Weather expects rains to increase over most parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for the next two to three days. We can expect moderate to heavy showers with a few very heavy spells along the foothills of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. This increase in rain activity along the foothills could be credited to the shifting of axis of Monsoon trough towards the area.
Places like Lakhimpur Kheri, Maharajganj, Shravasti, Bahraich, Sitapur, Gonda, Siddharthnagar in Uttar Pradesh are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rains.
In the meantime, northern districts of Bihar such as east and West Champaran, Sitamarhi and Madhubani will record heavy rains and some other districts such as Supaul, Araiya, and Kishanganj may also see moderate to heavy showers.
Many places in Nepal are also likely to receive heavy to very heavy showers which will exaggerate the threat of flooding over northern districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar due to the inflow of water. Thus, people are advised to exercise caution.
