The Konkan region has been seeing rains, however, heavy rains remained absent from the region. During the last 24 hours also, moderate showers were seen with Harnai recording 57 mm of rains, Dahanu 33 mm and Ratnagiri 18 mm.
Now, heavy rains are all set to lash the Konkan region of Maharashtra, starting today until June 26 is expected.
Today, i.e. on June 24, mostly southern parts will see more rains including the cities of Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Mahabaleshwar, Dapoli, Raigad. Mumbai may also see, but heavy showers are ruled out.
Tomorrow, rain belt will shift northward including Mumbai and further extending up to Gujarat. Cities of Alibag, Thane, Palghar, Dahanu, Talegaon, Raigad including Mumbai will see heavy rains. Three digit rains are also possible in some areas.
On June 26, South Konkan will turn moderate and isolated heavy showers may be seen similar to rains on June 24. Northern parts of Konkan may also see some rains, however, they will not be heavy like on June 25.
