Heavy rains to mar Telangana in July as well

During last 24 hours, Telangana has witnessed moderate to heavy rains. The state has witnessed very good rainfall in the entire month of June. In fact, Telangana recorded 29 percent surplus rain as compared to its normal as on June 29.

During last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Wednesday, the total rainfall recorded in most pockets of Telangana is listed in the table below:

Almost all the districts of Telangana have received good rainfall. A low-pressure area has formed over west central Bay of Bengal of South Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh coast.

This weather system is likely to move inland and is expected to give fairy widespread rains over Telangana within next 48 hours. Some isolated heavy fall cannot be ruled out as well. Telangana is one of the states which normally remains rain deficient but this time above normal rainfall over the state is expected. Moreover, multiple weather systems that originated in the Bay of Bengal are giving fairly widespread rainfall.

To conclude, June will end with excess rainfall for the state and situation seems favorable for the state in the month of July as well. Good rains are expected to continue in July.
