According to Skymet Weather, the cyclonic circulation will further move westwards and as a result, intensity of rains will increase over Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Maharashtra. The region is likely to witness mainly moderate rains with isolated heavy showers during the span of next two days.

However, rains will reduce over Vidarbha as the system is likely to moves away.

Mumbai is also expected to witness some good rains and thundershowers for the next 48 hours. Some heavy showers are also expected during this time.

Thereafter, as the system continues to moves westwards, rains will decrease over Vidarbha and Marathwada but coastal areas and parts of Madhya Maharashtra including Pune will continue with rains.

With the four-month long Southwest Monsoon season officially coming to an end, these rains will be now counted in post-Monsoon season.
