The state of Gujarat has seen some good rains in the last 24 hours with a few heavy spells in a few areas. An east-west shear line is running between Gujarat up to the Bay of Bengal. A Cyclonic Circulation is coming up over Gulf of Cambay and adjoining the Central Gujarat region.
This system is becoming very compact and also intensifying and is likely to become very significant tomorrow. Tomorrow, the system will be shifting to Northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Saurashtra and Kutch. Thereafter, it will shift a little further but still stay over Saurashtra and Kutch.
Today, Saurashtra and Kutch will see mostly moderate with isolated heavy spells including Okha, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Naliya, Bhuj etc.. Heavy rains will be seen tomorrow over Saurashtra and Kutch with moderate spells over rest of Gujarat. On August 11, rains will be seen over Saurashtra and Kutch, reducing thereafter.
