Entire state of Andhra Pradesh will witness moderate to heavy rains during this week. South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, covering Nellore, Ongole, Bapatla, Machilipatnam, Krishna and West Godavari face a bigger risk than East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam. Heavy rains will lash the state from 08th Dec till 11th Dec and start easing out thereafter.
Cyclonic storm 'Mandous' is brewing over Bay of Bengal. Well marked low pressure has become a depression and on the way to pace up further and turn in to a cyclone in the next 48hr. Weather system will be parked very close to North Tamil Nadu and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh on 08th Dec. Movement of storm will be slow and may brace the Andhra coastline longer than other pockets.
Heavy rains may travel up to Rayalaseema for couple of days. Tirupati, Chittoor, Annamayya, Rayachoty and Cuddapah are likely to witness heavy showers. Even moderate showers are expected over Anantapur, Puttaparthi and Prakasam. Rains along the coastline will be accompanied with squally and gusty winds.
Dense clouds will be embedded with lightning storms and thunder squalls. Inclement weather conditions are likely to prevail between 08th and 11th Dec. From 12th Dec onward, the blustery conditions will shrink in expanse and intensity. Light to moderate rains may continue for the subsequent 48 hours.
