Heavy rains of 102 mm lash Gwalior, Indore records 47 mm

The state of Madhya Pradesh has been witnessing heavy rains for the past two to three days. In fact, a few areas including Gwalior as well as Indore have been recording good showers of moderate to heavy intensity. The last 24 hours were also not too different and many areas of the state of Madhya Pradesh have witnessed heavy showers.

In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, Gwalior recorded a whopping 102 mm of rainfall, while Indore recorded a good 47 mm of rains. Other parts of Madhya Pradesh which included good showers include Seoni 43 mm, Betul 34 mm, Malanjkhand 23 mm, Khargone 26 mm and Guna 18 mm.

These weather conditions can be attributed to the axis of Monsoon trough which has been running in proximity of the region. Not only this, a cyclonic circulation was also marked over Madhya Pradesh which has now shifted westwards.

Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, light to moderate showers are expected to continue over the state of Madhya Pradesh. Thus, weather conditions will continue to be on the pleasant side and temperatures will witness a further drop in the coming days.
