Updated on Aug 8, 9:45 PM: Rains continue to be heavy for the city of Nagpur. In fact, in the last three hours between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM, the city has recorded 32 mm of heavy rains, thus making the total rain in 12 hours to 74 mm.
Published on Aug 8, 2019 07:30 PM: The city of Nagpur has been witnessing rains since the beginning of the month of August. Moreover, the city has seen light to moderate rains making an appearance over the city. Since the past one week, there hasn't been one day that no rains have been observed.
These rains however have not been heavy enough to have caused any major problem like other parts of Maharashtra including Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Pune and Solapur have been facing in terms of flooding conditions.
In fact, today rains got a little too intense over the city. Moreover, since the morning, the city of Nagpur has been observing rains and has been heavy as well.
In a span of nine hours from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm today, Nagpur has managed to record 42 mm of rainfall.
As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, these rains are expected to continue today and may be seen tomorrow as well but with reduced intensity.
These rains have occurred due to the depression which has been moving across the central parts. By tomorrow, the system will have move westwards.
