Delhi NCR recorded another spell of heavy rains for the sixth consecutive day on Thursday, keeping weather pleasant.
The day started on a cloudy, with fairly comfortable afternoon. Weather took a drastic change in evening around 4 pm, when intense clouding engulfed several parts of the city.

According to Skymet Weather, rains travelled all along from West Uttar Pradesh, lashing eastern parts of Delhi NCR first. Gradually, rains covered the entire national capital.

Places like Noida, Greater Noida, Akshardham, Mayur Vihar, Okhla, New Friends Colony, Ashram, Lajpat Nagar, Hauz Khas, Great Kailash, Safdarjung, New Delhi Railway Station, Connaught Place and Saket reported some intense showers. As reiterated before these rains were patchy in nature although sustained for quite a long time.

At present, extremely pleasant weather conditions have been prevailing across the city. Mercury which had seen some rise during afternoon, too witnessed a steep drop.

As per weathermen, this is not all as these showers are here to stay. We can expect another similar rainy spell to lash Delhi NCR on Friday too.

Monsoon trough continues to run across the northwestern plains along with the persistent cyclonic circulation over Haryana and adjoining areas. With this, weather conditions will remain favourable for rains to continue for at least next two days though with reducing intensity.

Major clearance would come after September 10, wherein wind pattern will undergo a change from humid to dry northwesterly. Besides this, we would see bright sunshine, leading to increase in temperatures. The only good news would be in terms of reduction in humidity.

Gradually we would start slipping into the withdrawal phase that would be possibly around September 20.
