Delhi Rain 1

Delhi rains have made a comeback with a bang. Heavy rains have been lashing the city for the past two days or so. While the rains were great for a few hours, however as these showers got heavy, traffic snarls and commuting trouble became another issue for the residents.

The last 24 hours were no different. So much so that the Palam observatory has recorded a whopping 38 mm in a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday. Not only this, moderate rains of 20 mm were also recorded at the Safdarjung observatory during the same time frame.

These weather conditions are attributed to the presence of a cyclonic circulation over Haryana and adjoining areas. A trough is also running in the proximity of Delhi which has resulted in good rains over the city.
