Bangladesh has received on and off showers during the entire month of April. In fact, rains have shown up in the neighboring country during the month of March also bought some rainy spells with it. All thanks to significant weather systems due to which the country was blessed with good rainy spells.
The country witnessed rains in the last 24 hours as well. As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation persists over East Bangladesh and adjoining Tripura and Meghalaya region. In the wake of this, heavy rains occurred over Bangladesh.
In a span of last 24 hours, from 08:30 am on Thursday, Srimangal witnessed very hefty rains of 203.6 mm, Rangamati 69.6 mm, Mymensingh 41.4 mm, Feni 44 mm, Chhittagong 33 mm and Hatia recorded 32 mm of rainfall.
Skymet Weather further foresees that these rains will continue to show up in parts of Bangladesh and the NMMT (Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura) region for another 1 or 2 days. Thereafter, the spells will start witnessing a declining trend and are expected to reduce.
The maximums that were settling near the 35-degree mark also reduced due to these rains but after the rainy episode is over, temperatures will rise once again paving way for the sweltering summer-like condition to prevail again.
