For the period of the past 24 hours, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells were witnessed by the state, wherein Mukteshwar was lashed by heavy rains to the tune of 40 mm, Dehradun 29 mm, Pithoragarh 25 mm, Nainital 10 mm and Haridwar saw 7 mm of light spells.
Now, we are hoping the rains to persevere over the region, initially weatherman foresee light to moderate rains till July 21. Afterward, moderate to heavy showers are anticipated to whip most parts of Uttarakhand from July 22 onward. These on and off showers would endure with varied intensity over the state up to July 25 or 26.
During this phase, places such as Nainital, Dehradun, Haridwar, Almora and Tehri may observe the rain activity. In view of the in store showers, there are huge likelihoods of landslides and flash floods. In fact, there could also be couple of events of cloudbursts over the state as well. So, we highly recommend the pilgrims and visitors to evade visiting the hills and the holy shrines at the moment.
By the end of the subsequent week, we are supposing the rain deficiency to improve to some extent over the state of Uttarakhand.
