In fact, like the recent rainy days, the last 24 hours were also raining for East Madhya Pradesh in contrast with West Madhya Pradesh. However, now this system is likely to weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area and then further into a low-pressure area and move into west-northwest direction towards Gujarat via Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

On account of its inward shifting, moderate to heavy rains are likely to occur over East Madhya Pradesh today that is likely to continue until July 21. During that time, districts such as Rewa, Satna, Umaria, and Damoh can brace for moderate to isolated heavy spells.

Thereafter, as the system will move further west, stations such as Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Ratlam will get to witness heavy rains while rains are likely to reduce over the eastern districts of the state. These heavy rains may trigger flood-like situation.
