During the last few days, western parts of Rajasthan have received good amount of rains which also caused flood like conditions over Northeast and East Rajasthan.

These conditions are prevailing due to the presence of a Trough which is extending from northwest parts of Rajasthan to Northwest Bay of Bengal across other parts of Rajasthan. A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over southern parts of Gujarat and adjoining parts of Northeast Arabian Sea.

All these systems have resulted in moisture incursion over the state of Rajasthan. Due to this, moderate to heavy rains have occurred over East Rajasthan.

Now, similar weather will prevail over the state in the coming days as well. Therefore, Northeast Rajasthan and adjoining East Rajasthan will continue to see moderate to heavy rains in the coming 24 hours.

Thus, flood like conditions may prevail over eastern parts of Rajasthan including Ajmer, Jaipur, Kota, Sawai Madhopur and adjoining areas. Meanwhile, western parts of Rajasthan will remain dry and very warm. Southern parts of Rajasthan including Udaipur, Banswada, Mount Abu will see light to moderate rains.

Southwest Monsoon has already made an arrival over most parts of Rajasthan wherein the Normal Limit of Monsoon is passing through Barmer, Jodhpur, Sikar and conditions are favourable for Monsoon to reach more parts of Rajasthan soon.
