The state of Kerala has been witnessing some Pre Monsoon activities. Today also, moderate fairly widespread rains are expected over the state. Today, some heavy spells may be seen as well. Before the Monsoon season, this is a regular feature where Pre Monsoon showers are seen. Today, tomorrow and day after, we can expect some good rains, slightly lesser showers may be seen the day after tomorrow.
When Monsoon comes closer, these rainfall activities will pick up again paving the way for the arrival of the Monsoon.
These rains can be attributed to the Peninsular India trough, a regular feature during this time. Also, Cyclonic circulation is over Southeast Arabian Sea in the lower atmospheric levels, pumping moisture towards the state of Kerala.
