The state of Goa has recorded some very good rains in the past few days. In fact, heavy rainfall began lashing Goa since the fag end of the month and the rainfall continues to lash the region. During the last 24 hours also three digit rains to the tune of 158 mm was recorded in Panjim.
Moreover, in view of these heavy rains the schools remained closed statewise today for Goa and alerts have been issued for the state as such.
Moreover, in the last eight days, the city has recorded 944 mm of rains. If we consider just July so far, Goa has already seen 561 mm of rains against its monthly average of 955.2 mm of rains. Thus, looks like Goa will not take a very long time to complete its monthly mean.
Talking about the weather outlook, we can expect continuous heavy rains today for Goa wherein there may be some breaks in between tomorrow but heavy showers will still be seen in pockets. On July 8, Goa may see moderate to heavy rains easing out on around July 9.
