These moderate to heavy rains can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is seen persisting over east central Arabian Sea off Karnataka Coast. Also, a trough is seen extending from East India up to the above-mentioned cyclonic circulation across Interior Karnataka.
Due to the effect of these two weather systems over the state, moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers are likely to continue in several districts of Karnataka for the next two to three days.
