At present, East Madhya Pradesh is running rain deficient by 21%. In comparison, the western parts of Madhya Pradesh have received good rains that’s why it’s in normal rain category with a marginal deficiency of just 1% as on July 21.
During the last 24 hours, Western districts of the state have received light to moderate rains. Isolated rains occurred over the eastern districts. We do not expect much rain activities over Madhya Pradesh for the next two days. Thereafter, rain activities will increase.
From July 24 onward, moderate to heavy rains will commence over northern and central districts of the states as the axis of Monsoon Trough will pass via North Madhya Pradesh.
Places like Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Guna, Tikamgarh and Sagar may receive moderate to heavy rains on July 24 and 25.
Thereafter, the rain activities will spread over many more parts of the state and almost entire state will receive scattered light to moderate rains and thundershowers until July 27.
The weather will not go dry thereafter as well. On and off rains will continue until, the end of the month.
So, now we can say that from July 24 onward the state of Madhya Pradesh will receive good rains throughout the remaining parts of July. The month of July might even end on a rain surplus note.
