The state of Kerala has been witnessing very heavy rains for the past few days. Moreover, parts of Northeast India have also seen very heavy rains during the last 24 hours.
Rains over the state of Kerala are expected to continue with rainfall reducing each day. For the next three days, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka and Kerala may see heavy rains. Rains will be on an increasing pace with the intensity of rains gradually increasing each day for the state of Karnataka.
Moreover, the belt of heavy rains is shifting slightly up the coast from South Kerala to Central Kerala and thereafter, May 18 observing heavier rains over Coastal Karnataka. Powerful showers can be seen over Kerala and Karnataka barring North Interior Karnataka.
Flooding rains may shift from Kerala to Coastal Karnataka. The city of Bengaluru may see heavy rainfall activity as well, during the same time.
