Parts of Odisha have been reeling under dry weather conditions from last many days that resulted in the temperatures to rise several notches. But finally, the doors of heaven opened and poured over the various districts of the state.
Heavy rains lashed several parts of Odisha on Wednesday, marking an end to the prolonged dry spell. State capital of Bhubaneswar also recorded light rains to the tune of 2 mm.
Now also, weather conditions remain conducive for rains to begin anytime soon. As per Skymet Weather, the reason for these torrential showers can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation that persists over Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining West Bengal. Another cyclonic circulation also persists over Bangladesh.

These rains have been lashing most parts of the state for last two to three days that led to pleasant weather conditions across the region. During the last 24 hours, day temperature of Balasore came down by 10 degrees from the normal, while Chandbali also witnessed the maximums plummeting 8 degrees below the normal.
Moreover, these rains are likely to continue lashing parts of the state until March 11. Particularly the coastal areas of Odisha are expected to witness scattered showers. Thereafter, the weather is expected to become dry again.
Until then, people in Odisha can spectate pleasant weather over the region.
