The state of Uttarakhand had inclement weather in the month of July. There has not been a lot for the past few days however in terms of rainfall activities but that situation is all set to change now.
at present the monsoon trough is to the north of its position and when this happens the first state to get affected is the state of Uttarakhand. On the other hand, the northern hilly areas are far to the north to be affected with this particular change in the monsoon trough unless there is also a western disturbance supporting this feature.
With the shift in this monsoon trough, we can expect inclement weather conditions for the next three days for Uttarakhand which will include heavy rainfall activity along with thunderstorm as well. These weather conditions may also result in landslides et cetera which means that residents need to exercise caution.
Parts of Mussoorie, Dehradun, Rishikesh, Roorkee, Kotdwara, Rudrapur, Champawat will be more vulnerable to these activities. We can expect similar weather conditions for the next 4 to 5 days which also means that travelling to these destinations may not be a good idea after all for at least this duration.
