Northeast India will see some rains todaym cinfininf to Arunachal Pradesh and Northern Assam and will last until tomorrow. After that, rain belt will be shifting to the foothills, very close to Bihar, Sikkim, Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
These rains will occur in association with the Cyclonic Circulation coming up over Bihar and adjoining regions. Thus, starting tomorrow, heavy to very heavy rains will be seen over Sikkim and Sub Himalayan West Bengal and northeastern parts and foothills of Bihar. Cities including Kishanganj, Araria, Supaul etc. may see some showers.
On June 29, intensity of rains may reduce but heavy rains will continue over Bihar. Earlier, Bihar saw 17 casualties because of lightning strikes over the region. This upcoming spell may also be accompanied with lightning strikes, thunderstorms, thus residents need to exercise caution on June 28 and 29.
Spread of rains on June 29 will be quite large and the possibility of lightning strikes cannot be ruled out and alert needs to be sounded for the residents on both June 28 and 29. Around June 30, rains will not cease but intensity may reduce.
