Most parts of Rajasthan are almost dry since the last one week. However, parts of Gujarat, particularly southern and eastern districts, have been receiving good rainfall.
A Cyclonic Circulation has developed over Northeast Arabian Sea, just south of Gujarat. Another Cyclonic Circulation is over Southwest Rajasthan at lower levels. Humid winds from Arabian Sea will feed moisture over Gujarat and South Rajasthan.
Rain activities may intensify over parts of Gujarat. Rain may commence over South Rajasthan by June 27. Places like Banswara, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur and Udaipur may start receiving scattered rainfall.
Rain will cover parts of Southeast Rajasthan by June 28 and places like Kota, Bundi, Baran, Bhilwara and Jhalawar as well as Sawai Madhopur may also get light rain. Intense rainfall is expected to occur over many parts of East and South Rajasthan as well as most parts of Gujarat, between June 29 and July 2nd.
There may be water logging or flash flood due to heavy downpour or over southeast Rajasthan and parts of Gujarat during this period. Monsoon is also expected to make an onset over eastern parts of Rajasthan and some other parts of Gujarat during the first week of July.
